From Siem Reap to Koh Rong

During the two months i was in Cambodia on the journalism internship, i spent a month in Siem Reap and a month on the island of Koh Rong, which felt like a different world.  Siem Reap is a really unique city - a mixture of modern hustle and bustle with ancient traditions.  I am mainly a photographer, but i am also involved in social media and do a bit of writing.  There was plenty in Siem Reap for me to get my teeth into, from the more obvious tourist hotspots such as Angkor Wat, to night markets to the sobering holocaust museum.

Arriving at the island of Koh Rong, i was immediately struck by how untouched and it is.  It was almost like the film "The Beach" in how picturesque and remote it felt.  The pace of life is so much slower, and it was a great chance to get to know the other people on camp, as well as to write up at length on some of my experiences during this trip.

All in all, a fantastic experience, and one i would love to do again!
